Chico Bicalho will talk about how he got his start as a designer, Kikkerland Design, the Critter Wind-up family, humor in design, and no doubt the importance of trees.

Born in Brazil, Chico attended Rhode Island School of Design where his Critters are a best selling item in the school’s design shop RISD Works.  Now residing in Rio de Janeiro with his wife and design partner Isabella Torquato, they spend thier time creating new wind-ups, fantastic stories, and planting over 105 thousand trees of over 150 different species native to the Atlantic Forest.
