New York City, 1992. Jan van der Lande, originally from Holland, was working as a NYC bike messenger. Some artist friends from Amsterdam asked if he would take their wares to shops he knew in the city. This proved successful and the idea to start a design collective was born. Named after a term of endearment for the country of Holland meaning land of frogs, Kikkerland Design has since developed, designed and discovered over a thousand products…all with the intention of making people smile. With every product there is a story…we have hundreds of them. They start here, the new Kikkerland Design blog.
Welcome to the Land of Frogs
